Funder Acknowledgement

All projects funded through the Société Santé en français (SSF) must acknowledge, in accordance with their signed contribution agreements, the source of the project funding, including the funder(s) and the Société Santé en français.

If you have questions about funder acknowledgement or wish to have your products reviewed, please contact Ève Laframboise, Communication and Knowledge Mobilization Officer at the SSF.

Sections on funder acknowledgement in the contribution agreements signed with French Health Networks and project recipients

  • Section 25.1: Acknowledgement
The recipient shall, in all public communications materials and products (including but not limited to information and advertising campaigns, invitations to activities, print, audiovisual, visual, and electronic materials, websites, and expositions), acknowledge the support of the Government of Canada and the Société [Santé en français] under this agreement. [The recipient] shall use a form of acknowledgement that has been approved by the Société. The recipient shall remove the acknowledgement at the written request of the Société.

General Acknowledgement

Recipients intending to distribute information using promotional materials for funded projects must mention the funding in the following products: websites, news releases, newsletters, brochures, pamphlets, flyers, invitations, posters, banners, videos, announcements.

Use of federal department logos:

  • Always use bilingual logos
    • In the French version of a document: French logo first
    • In the English version: English logo first
  • The symbols of all partners are given equal prominence and are accurately reproduced.
  • Black and white are used to reproduce symbols where it is not possible to use the official colours.
  • They should be displayed in generous open space, free from close association with any interfering or distracting elements.
  • They may not appear on a visually conflicting background, for example, on a patterned background, and there should be sufficient contrast to make them stand out.
  • Scaling should be done with care to avoid all horizontal or vertical distortion.
  • They may not form part of a headline, phrase or sentence.
  • They may be used only in contribution acknowledgements.

The purpose is to check whether any funders want to have a minister or designated departmental representative attend and to determine whether they can help promote the event where appropriate
  • Oral acknowledgement of funders: When public personalities are introduced orally during an event, federal representatives are usually identified first, followed by provincial or territorial representatives, and then municipal representatives.
