2021-2025
Summary of activity
Réseau-action Communautaire (RAC) adapts and shares tools and resources (both paper and electronic) dealing with health and wellness promotion in order to support the work of professionals who work directly with francophone immigrants.
Certain tools are being adapted to meet the specific needs of welcome centres by taking into account their level of usage and interest. Réseau-action Organisation des services (RAOS) continues to disseminate the Guide santé pour les nouveaux arrivants and to develop related tools and resources in concert with welcome centres. Based on the results from the Étude exploratoire sur les besoins et l’implication des centres d’accueil, RAOS hopes to identify and develop useful tools as well as a plan to disseminate them.
Desired outcomes
Tools and resources that meet the needs of newcomers, settlement professionals, and their partners are available. Welcome centres have greater capacity to handle issues of health, wellness, and health promotion affecting newcomers.
