Summary of activity
RAOS is conducting an exploratory study of the province’s welcome centres (Étude exploratoire auprès des centres d’accueil) in order to determine their needs and analyze their involvement in navigating, promoting, and providing health and wellness services. Based on the available data and the results of the FIN’s research on the capacity to receive francophone immigrants, RAC aims to design and continuously improve its activities to address the needs and challenges expressed by francophone immigration settlement professionals as much as possible.
Desired outcomes
Knowledge will be gathered that will allow for the development of tools that can be used to better address the needs and challenges of welcome centres as well as those of newcomers when it comes to French-language health and wellness promotion. Dissemination of the exploratory study will make it possible to determine the needs of welcome centres as well as their involvement in navigating, promoting, and providing health and wellness services.
