Summary of activity
RésoSanté Colombie-Britannique is working on community engagement by developing and strengthening relationships and areas of cooperation between the settlement and health sectors. Theme-based workshops on the main health-related issues affecting newcomers (nutrition and mental health) are a chance to bring settlement officers into contact with health specialists. The goal is to prevent situations arising from lack of familiarity with the health system or from the specific realities of francophone immigrants not being sufficiently considered. The project includes a consultation with settlement partners to identify successes and challenges experienced during the project with a view to improving future francophone immigration activities..

Settlement professionals are able to identify and mobilize the appropriate partners and resources in order to help their clients integrate.
