Summary of activity
Collaboration between Partenariat communauté en santé (PCS) and the FIN du Yukon to develop partnerships with key actors in the health system in order to identify barriers to accessing health services and newcomers’ inclusion in employment opportunities in the health field. Knowledge sharing will be used to clarify the demographic portrait of francophone immigrants, as well as the impacts of the health coaching project on the health of this population. The goal of this collaboration is to propose solutions to barriers that stand in the way of newcomers’ integration and civic engagement. Also, assistance from PCS is available to community partners to pair local health professionals with international medical graduates (IMGs) to support settlement professionals.
Desired outcomes
Partnerships are developed between the fields of health and settlement in French-speaking Canada.

- Support for organizing the À l’intersection de nos diversités, bâtissons des services adaptés – Sommet sur la santé des personnes immigrantes francophones pour l’Ouest et le Nord symposium, organized by Manitoba.
