Cafés de Paris – Informal spaces where employees practise their French
Establish Cafés de Paris in five facilities. Assess the language skills of health professionals. Identify professionals’ needs, equip them and create a greater desire to offer services in French. Promote the development of closer ties between the French-speaking community and health professionals.
The Café de Paris is an informal space where employees can acquire or maintain basic French language skills, interact orally in French and obtain tools and resources to enable them to offer services in both official languages. The model was developed in New Brunswick.
